SAN DIEGO AIR & SPACE MUSEUM - CALIFORNIA

Pan American Plaza
Balboa Park Cultural Precinct
San Diego, California, USA

W: www.sandiegoairandspace.org

The San Diego Air and Space Museum is located in the middle of an enormous cultural precinct smack in the middle of San Diego. It's an impressive area and very popular with locals on the weekends for family trips and picnics.

The San Diego Air and Space Museum there houses a comprehensive range of aircraft and artefacts, including a used space capsule, something you probably won't see outside the US or former USSR countries.

You are greeted outside the front door with an SR-71 blackbird and a Sea Dart water-borne jet fighter on pillars, so you can't miss it! The doughnut-shaped building has a central covered courtyard with a few more aircraft and cars on display.

It's a nice museum with lots of interesting stuff thoughtfully displayed.
