The museum promotes itself as not being, specifically, an air museum, but who can ignore a 747 and 707 on display!

The museum advertises that it is the only place in the world where you can take a guided tour of an intact 747, and even do a “wing walk”. There is, of course, much more there to do and see, and it is located adjacent to the Longreach Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre.

The museum displays cover the conception, birth and growth of Australia’s national airline. There is a replica DH6 on display as well as many historic artefacts and stories pertaining to QANTAS’ history.
