Chrystie's Museum is one of those wonderful Alladin's Cave places where you can stand in one spot and soak it in for half an hour before you take a couple of paces to the spot and start again.
Everywhere you look there is nostalgia overlaid with history. The sheer volume of items on dislay is a little overwhelming and I found myself wondering how much time has been invested in collecting, preparing and displaying these things. I've never seen so many chainsaws in all my life! And it's all pretty well been put together by one man, Mr Chrystie himself.
Well worth a detour if you are in the area, just follow the airport signs.
