Agusta-Westland A109
Walkaround Photos

I took these A109 walkaround pics at Avalon in 2007.

I have a diecast replica (It's not a toy!) of an A109 and I thought the pearl paint was just the toy manufacturers' idea for making it pretty. Lo and behold, the real things are finished the same way!

The RAN have contracted to lease three of the AW109E choppers to act as transition trainers between the Squirrels and the Seahawks. I've seen shots of one in gloss black and one in the standard RAN grey, both with roundels and civilian registrations. I don't know what colour the third one is painted. They would make interesting models!
