Northrop F-5 Walkaround Photos
I took this F-5 walkaround while I was in Greece in mid 2008. It was parked out the front of the Greek War Museum in Athens. There was this F-5, a Lockheed F104 Starfighter, a Bell 47 chopper, a DogSabre and a Thunderjet. They are all in remarkably good order considering they are kept outside and in unrestricted public access. Inside the museum is a fantastic collection of swords, ancient and recent, and a collection of body armour. There is a collection of artillery on display outside as well. Overall well worth a visit if you are in Athens. This was my first look at an F-5 in the flesh. It was a pity the single-engined TigerShark variant didn't take off, it would have been a serious rival to the F-16.  |  |  | F-5 689071 Pic 1
