LAKE BOGA FLYING BOAT MUSEUM

Catalina Park
Willakool Drive
Lake Boga Victoria

Lake Boga was a major flying boat base and repair facility during WWII. The predominant type seen here was the Consolidated Catalina, but Martin Mariners, Sunderlands and Dornier Do24s were also serviced and repaired there. The Catalina played a significant role in Australia’s Pacific war, particularly on long range patrol and mine-laying duties.

The centrepiece of the museum is Consolidated Catalina A24-30, a World War II veteran.

The Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum has recently undergone major improvements. The Catalina on display has been restored and it is now housed in a building after being out in the elements for decades.
